I send my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your loved one Prentice, I'm sure that he will be dearly missed by the many who loved him. Soon the pain that we feel when we suffer the loss of a loved one will be no more. Almighty God promises at Isaiah 25:8: "He will swallow up death forever." Also John 5:25 says: "Most truly I say to you, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who have paid attention will live." Soon we will be reunited with our family and friends that have died, and live together forever in a peaceful new world where death, sickness, and suffering won't exist. May these promises from Almighty God Jehovah bring you peace and comfort during your time of grief.
