Obituary for Walter Daniel Rainey
Walter Daniel Rainey, Jr. (Rope) was born December 30, 1953 in Mobile, Alabama, the firstborn, to the union of the late Elder Walter Daniel Rainey, Sr. and Emma Simmons Williams Rainey. Walter transitioned from this life on April 16, 2019 in a local hospital in Angeles City, Philippines.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Emma S. Rainey; his wife, Samuelina Rainey; five daughters: Lakeisha Rainey of Austin, TX, Stephanie Rainey of Silver Springs, Maryland, Michaelina, Samantha, Aniana, one son: Walter, all of the Philippines; three grandchildren: Clareshia, Malik, and Daniel, one great grandchild, Avyanna; eight siblings: Willie George Rainey of Milwaukee, WI, Willie (Billy) Rainey and Doris Hatten of Chattanooga, TN, Jerilyn Gurley of Detroit, MI, Russell Rainey of Atlanta, GA, Elder Timothy M. Rainey I (Gloria) of Huntsville, AL, George (Fayette) Rainey of Detroit, MI, Elder Dr. Jeffrey T. (Carolyn) Rainey of Mobile, AL; one favorite aunt, Ida S. Jones of Mobile, AL, and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
The Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Christian Union Primitive Baptist Church, Mobile, AL at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Elder Dr. Jeffrey T. Rainey, pastor and officiant.
