Obituary for Margaret Edwards

Margaret Davis Edwards was born on October 7, 1945 in Mobile, AL to the union of the late Moses and Dairee McCovery Davis, Sr. She confessed her love for God at an early age and united with the Calvary Baptist Church. She worked for over 25 years at Cogburn Health and Rehab Center. Margaret was united in holy matrimony for over forty years to the love of her life, Deacon Willie James Edwards, where she then united with the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. There served for many years on various auxiliaries, one of which was the Usher Board. Late in life, she united with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church until her heath failed. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two brothers: Moses Davis, Sr., and Leonard Davis; three sisters: Idella Davis, Julia Mae Aikens, and Betty Jean Davis. She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Joseph Edwards of Marietta, GA; two daughters: Kenyana (Damion) Hatcher and Jessica Edwards both of Fort Wayne, IN; eight grandchildren: Damion, Trenton, Madison and Braxton Hatcher, Jeremiah Frazier all of Fort Wayne, IN, Treyvion Edwards of Mobile, AL, Adalynn and Ashlynn Edwards of Marietta, GA; two brothers: Charles (Rosemary) and Calvin (L’Toya) Davis of Mobile, AL; five sisters: Jenilyn Ruby Allen, devoted caregiver-Dorothy (Edmond) Coleman, Adella (Kerry) Longmire, Gloria Morissette, and Katherine Davis, all of Mobile, AL; a host of nieces and nephews, four devoted, whom she helped to raise: Joyce Ann Davis, Robert Davis, John Cliff Davis, and Shaneda Watson; cousins, other relatives and friends.
