Obituary for Freddie Joseph Howard Sr.

Freddie Joseph Howard, Sr. was born February 1, 1931 in Mobile, AL. Freddie was educated in the Mobile County Public School System attending Most Pure Heart of Mary and was a graduating member of Central High School Class of 1950. Freddie was a veteran of the Korean War and was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Carrier out of the Springhill Branch until his retirement in 1987. Freddie was married to Doris Margaret Washington Howard for 58 years.

Freddie was preceded in death by his son Ronald Joseph Howard; grandson, Kevin Joseph Howard and wife, Doris W. Howard.

Freddie leaves to cherish his memory six children: Gail V. Howard, Montgomery, AL, Freddie (Angela) J. Howard, Tucker, GA,Tonya M. Howard, Lorna L. Buggs, both of Mobile, AL, Angelita B. Howard, Marietta, GA and Charles (Debra) Frances, Bartlett, IL; Six grandchildren: Josh T. Howard, Tucker, GA, Courtney M. Buggs, Wildwood, NJ, Carmen J. Howard, Montgomery, AL; Lia L. Buggs, Wildwood, NJ, Carol L. Buggs, Cape May, NJ and Charles Francis, Jr., Bartlett, IL; four great grandchildren: Daijiauna ADay, Lillian E. Hemmingway, Ashtyn B. Howard and Clara J. Hemingway; Devoted and loving cousins:Josephine (Arthur) Jackson, James (Maxine) Wilson; a devoted brother-in-law, James Williams. A host of nieces and nephews; those who were devoted to their uncle, Pauline Dale, Antonio Dale, Eve (Clarence) Farrier, Brenda (Alfred) Braxton, Wanda Faye Johnson, Veleicia (Herman) Sullivan. Freddie was blessed with many great friends, classmates and neighbors.
