Obituary for Edward Smith
Edward Smith was a native and resident of Grand Bay for over 91 years. He was the second child born to Louis and Alberta Smith on September 19, 1927 and exchanged time for eternal rest on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Educated in the Mobile County Public School System, he rendered over 42 years of dedicated service to Underwood Builders Supply Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Mary Margaret Smith; a daughter: Phyllis; and siblings: Carrie Peoples, Lottie Mosley, Zeffie Coleman, Sr., Leon Smith, and Frank Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter: Venetia; granddaughter: Kayleigh McClinton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Little Rock AME Zion Church located at 10010 Fernland Road, Grand Bay, Alabama with Rev. Nathaniel Wilder officiating.
Interment will follow in Fernland Cemetery.
