Dorothy Lee Bendolph was born October 27, 1962 in Mobile, Alabama to Daniel King and Dorothy Bendolph Beard. She departed this life on April 10, 2019 at a local hospital. Dorothy was preceded in death by here parents; stepfather, William Beard, Jr; aunt, Bettye Greene; uncle, Collins Bendolph; Granddaughter, Ronecia Welch; and her two nieces, Stephanie Richardson and Deneshia Bendolph.

Dorothy was the kind of person who everyone fell in love with. She was truly the life of the party and she had a very giving heart. She was very outspoken; whatever she thought, she said
Her most favorable pastime was spending time at the casino and enjoying her grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory: Four daughters; Dineshea, Ciji, Ashley, and Danielle Bendolph; two sons; Charles and Demetrius (Kiesha) Bendolph; one sister, Charleita (Melvin) White; Four aunts; Leola Henderson, Jeanette Richardson, Roxie Poellinitz, and Lorann (Eric Carter) Lucas; Two uncles; Jimmy (Jacqueline) Lucas and Alexander Lucas. Sixteen grandchildren: Drederick Williams, Taylor Brown, Donald Cunningham III, Jonathan Williams, J’korie Williams, Maliha Finley, Mark Finley, Jr., Nyla Bendolph, Saniya Bendolph, Charles Bendolph, Jr., Mason Bendolph, Jasinya Simmons, Demetrius Bendolph, Jr., Alaysia Bush, Jordan Bendolph and Jason Bendolph. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Three devoted friends, Laura, Gwendolyn Irby and Maxine Williams.
