John C. Martin, (affectionately known as “Big Man”) exchanged time for eternity early Wednesday morning March 6, 2019. John’s memories will be cherished by his beloved wife Janice D. Martin; son John J. Martin; daughter, Jasmine P. Martin; grandson, Aiden J. Rice-Martin (Mobile, AL); Mother, Mrs. Hattie L. Moore (Hempstead, NY); and Mother-in-law, Hattie L. Davis (Mobile, AL).
His remains will lie in state Friday, March 15 from 5PM-8PM at Small’s Mortuary, 950 S. Broad St., Mobile, Alabama. Visitation on Saturday, March 16, 2019, 9AM until 11AM the funeral hour at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 2667 Reaves Street, Mobile, Alabama. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Cemetery 8651 Old Pascagoula Rd, Mobile, AL 36582
