She was born on September 18, 1934 in Mobile, AL. Ethel was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1954.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years: Charles E. Smoke, Sr.; parents: Tom Linen and Maggie Warren; sisters: Mary Wiley, Charletta Willamson, Martha Miles; brothers: Dezebee Miles, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories four children: Charles (Wanda) Smoke, Jr., Phillip (Linda) Smoke, Deborah Hendrix, Cynthia Rambert; sisters: Betty Mosley, Clara (Carl) Lee Hattie Pettway; brother: Paul Clemons; sisters-in-law: Mildred (Charles) Milton, Sr., Nona Jean Smoke; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019, 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Bethel AME Church, 714 Savannah St., Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Cemetery, Theodore, AL.
